One question looms as we enter the 2026-2027 academic year. Are you thinking about your Partiful presence? If not, everyone within two social circles knows you’re a loser. Better lock in for 2027-2028.
When I first downloaded Partiful, I was skeptical of the LinkedInification of our generation’s social life. That is, until I got my Parties Attended Number up to 336. So forget about partying to “have a good time.” You came to Columbia to win – here’s how to win at Partiful.
- Cold approach strangers! Yes, you have to do it. Because there’s always a chance that a stranger has a vibrant Partiful life just waiting to be uncovered. Ask them to loop you into any invites they receive. Once you’re in, you’re in. It’ll probably take going up to 50-60 strangers, and some won’t even know what you’re talking about. But speaking from experience, it’s worth it. It’s not exploitative, it’s calculated.
- Whenever you get invited to a Partiful event, RSVP ‘YES’ even if you have no intent on attending. If you don’t smash that ‘YES’ ‘button your Parties Attended Number will never reach star status. If you receive multiple Partiful invites for the same time, just respond ‘YES’ to all of them. 5 parties > 1. It’s simple math dumb-dumb.
- You can create Partifuls to hang out with yourself! Going for a bike ride? Partiful! Not only will it raise your Parties Attended, but it will also raise your Parties Hosted stat! If your Parties Hosted starts looking too similar to your Parties Attended, you can always ask a friend (or stranger!) to host a made-up party. Remember: two is company, three’s a crowd, one’s a Partiful.
- If you can’t win ‘em, buy em! Tons of the kids at this school bought their way in. You can take this methodology and apply it to Partifuls. Partiful HQ gave me a great deal on raising my Parties Attended Number. If you email them, they’ll send you their package of prices. Popular options include +5 invites for $50, +20 for $195, and +100 for $800. It’s like Costco for your social life!
- My final tip: be a good person – but make it conspicuous. You never know who has a Partiful invite up their sleeve, just waiting for the right good person to send it to.
