CC Student Follows Barnard on LinkedIn, Deemed Women’s College-Wide Hero

After nosy profile viewer and political science major Chad Major-Ally (CC ’27) followed Barnard College on LinkedIn.com, he received a hero’s welcome as he stepped through the gates of the women’s college the following morning. Barnard Hall proudly showcased a banner with the words “THANK YOU, KING <3!” as hundreds of students cheered to welcome a man standing in solidarity with them onto campus.

“I felt bad for everything that’s affecting the women in our country, so I followed Barnard on LinkedIn. That way, when someone sees Barnard in my LinkedIn interests, they’ll know I’m six foot five and that I read feminist literature,” Major-Ally said in an interview with The Fed. “I’m pretty much a Barnard student. I eat at Hewitt three times a day and use Milstein’s gender-neutral bathrooms. I love learning and living alongside a community of bold, brilliant women.”

Even though it seems that Major-Ally’s intentions may just be to attract Barnard Baddies, @barnardadmissions stated on Instagram that “he’s exactly the kind of hero we need in times like these. Because of him, our LinkedIn has one more follower.”

Student McKinaleigh Vonnegyatt (BC ‘26) also told The Fed that Major-Ally is “pretty much the Captain Bayonne of Barnard College.”

Rumor has it that, because of his LinkedIn philanthropy, Major-Ally has been the first Columbia man to be given access to Barnard’s newest Fitness Center. Students that work the front desk of the gym say that the girls are a big fan of him as the Fitness Center sees an upsurge of students who don’t usually go to the gym. Many gawk and stare in awe as their hero grits his teeth and curls his 2-pound dumbbells.
