On March 4, 2026, the snowman on Butler lawns was declared dead by Columbia Emergency Medical Services. The cause of death was reportedly “warm temperatures” and “rain”.
The Butler snowman, known by friends as “Blowy Snowy,” was known for bringing cheer to all who passed by and doing excessive amounts of cocaine. He is survived by the puddle of dirty water (snowman excrement) he left behind, the carrot and buttons inside of him, and the plastic bag full of a substance that resembled him in the desk drawers of numerous Columbia Greek life members. His memory will be cherished for years to come.
