Columbia Sets Up “University President” Stand at Career Fair

This year’s annual career fair showcased a number of exciting career opportunities for current Columbia students, but one position stood out from the rest: the “University President” stand established by the Columbia administration. Months into the search for a permanent University President, the administration has resorted to outside-the-box recruiting techniques, including their career fair table offering informational pamphlets, pens, and loose Starbursts.

Among the responsibilities listed were “ability to type and send roughly six vague emails per semester,” “proficiency with ChatGPT,” and “ability to resign after one week of pressure from Louisiana Congressman.”

Other unconventional recruiting methods for the position include cold emails offering $250, aggressively flyering the JJ’s wall, and begging Presbo to come back.
