Howdy folks, Boyd Harrington’s the name. Just an old book learnin’ hand from old book learnin’ country. Yeeeeeehaw! I’m fixin’ to school me real good. Now it don’t take a genius to spot a goat in a flock a sheep. These here books ain’t gonna read themselves. Yup, this old ranch called Columbia needs tendin’ to, and I’m just the man to do the tendin’.

Hard work shows the character of people. Some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and well, some don’t turn up at all. Now I ain’t the type to go speakin’ outta turn, but something around here’s cookin’, and it ain’t chicken. I’m talking about self plagiarizers, test rustlers, collaborators; there’s enough outlaws going around here to keep a hundred sheriffs busy! But there’s only so many short cuts you can take before you cut yourself short. Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin’ it back in.

Maybe I’m just from a different time. You see people walkin’ around with their e-readers and their erasable pens. It’s all man can do just to keep his head on straight. I’m a simple fellow, gimme a tattered copy the Illiad and a deck of flash cards I’ll be hammerin’ out a P2 progression in no time. Ya see there’s two kinds of people this in world, those who got books in there hands, and those who don’t, and I ain’t tryin’ to be the latter. As the man said “It’s not how many times you get bucked off that counts, it’s how many times you saddle back up.” Giddy up brain!
